Channel 4 Bodyshockers star Jack Woodman has been found guilty of breaking his girlfriend’s jaw during a five-year campaign of abuse.
The 33-year-old pawnshop owner was convicted at Bristol Crown Court of grievous bodily harm and two counts of actual bodily harm against Crystal Taffs, the mother of his two children.
The court heard how Woodman, who appeared on the Channel 4 show in 2016, subjected Ms Taffs, 29, to a series of violent attacks, including pulling out her hair and threatening to burn her with hair straighteners.
The abuse continued until 2022 when Ms Taffs fled the house she shared with Woodman and his mother.
Prosecuting lawyer Caitlin Evans told the court: “This case is about Jack Woodman beating his partner and mother of his two children, breaking her jaw and pulling her hair out.”
A violent incident occurred on Father’s Day 2022 when Woodman punched Ms Taffs after she collected him from a casino where he had lost a substantial amount of money.

The couple had been together for five years and had two children before their relationship ended in 2022.
Ms Taffs was forced to seek medical attention at A&E following one attack, but left without treatment due to fears about Woodman’s reaction to her extended absence.
Ms Taffs detailed a harrowing attack at Woodman’s pawnshop over a dispute about cleaning televisions.
“One day I had agreed to cut my brother’s hair but Jack wouldn’t let me go until I had cleaned all the TVs in the pawnshop,” she told the court.

She described how Woodman became angry with her cleaning standards, calling her a “lazy b****” before punching her in the face.
“I said I think you’ve knocked my teeth out and he said, ‘If you don’t shut up I’ll make sure I knock the other teeth out,'” Ms Taffs recalled.
She was forced to continue working at the shop despite being “in pain and very anxious and very scared.”
Following the verdict, Ms Taffs’ step-father Dave Priddle hailed the outcome as a significant victory.
“This is a victory not only for my step-daughter but for all women who have to suffer domestic violence and control and coercive behaviour,” he said.
Priddle added that Woodman had made his step-daughter’s life “a living nightmare” until she escaped with their children.

“All he was ever worried about was himself and his relentless pursuit of being famous,” he stated. “Woodman has now got what he always craved – to be famous. But that fame has come at a massive price.”
Judge Leslie Blohm KC has adjourned Woodman’s sentencing until a date to be fixed.
The judge warned Woodman about the likelihood of prison time, telling him: “I’m giving you conditional bail but the likelihood is that you face a custodial sentence.”
The jury rejected Woodman’s version of events, with Ms Taffs’ family saying they “saw through the lies he was telling.”
