GB News presenter Anne Diamond has urged the Princess of Wales not to “overdo it” after reports emerged that Kate wants to shift focus away from her fashion choices.
“I think you can do both, but I do understand her. As a number of people have pointed out, she’s spent the last year coping with cancer”, Diamond said on GB News.
“I think maybe that does get you thinking more about being a serious person in your job rather than just being a clothes horse”, she added.
“Don’t overdo it Kate because we love to see what you look like”, Anne cautioned.

Kensington Palace will no longer routinely release details of the Princess of Wales’s outfits from royal engagements, following her cancer journey which has given her “a new perspective”.
The change comes as Kate hopes royal fans will focus on her work rather than her stylish outfits.

While the Palace may still issue details for important state and family events, the new policy reflects Kate’s desire to spotlight the causes she champions.
A palace source told The Times: “There is an absolute feeling that it [the public work] is not about what the princess is wearing.”
“She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting”, the source added.
The Palace acknowledged there will always be public interest in Kate’s fashion choices.

“But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No. The style is there but it’s about the substance”, the source explained.
A close friend of the Princess revealed Kate has long found it “enormously difficult” when her fashion choices overshadowed her charitable work.
“[She] was going out and doing the work she was interested in and was hugely important to her, and people just talked about what she was wearing”, the friend told The Times.
The media’s fascination with Kate’s style instead of the causes she champions has continued to frustrate the mother-of-three over the years.
The new policy was evident during Kate’s recent engagements in South Wales, where no outfit details were released to the media.
The Princess visited Corgi, a family-run textiles manufacturer in Ammanford, near Swansea, which specialises in handmade socks and knitwear.
She also met youngsters at the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice, where she has become patron as she continues her gradual return to public duties following her cancer remission.
