The model ex-girlfriend of rock star Daniel Johns was back in a Sydney court this week pleading not guilty to domestic violence and drug charges.
Fashion designer Estelita Huijer is now accused of committing so many crimes that her personal court calendar must have started clashing with events in her social diary.
Since August she has been charged with assault, stealing, fraud, possessing drugs, trespassing, damaging property, vandalism and breaching an apprehended violence order.
The domestic violence charges relate to her relationship with celebrity restaurateur Andrew Becher, who owns fashionable inner-east eateries Franca, Parlar and Armorica.
Huijer dated Johns four about four years from 2013 after the Silverchair frontman had quit the chart-topping band to concentrate on his solo career.
Becher has been a star on the Sydney hospitality scene for more than a decade and recently told Daily Mail Australia the city was on the verge of a nightlife resurgence.
His celebrated Double Bay restaurant and bar Pelicano was forced to shut in 2016 but was relaunched at Potts Point on the site of the old Hugo’s Lounge late last year.
Huijer’s history with Becher is unclear but he has been named by police in three apprehended violence orders as a person in need of protection from her.

Huijer is accused of taking thousands of dollars in cash from Becher and using a permanent marker to deface a bookcase at his Point Piper home in August last year.
The 33-year-old is charged with stealing between $5,000 and $15,000 from his house, destroying or damaging property and contravening an AVO made to protect Becher.
Two further charges of intentionally marking a premises without consent and trespass in relation to what allegedly happened at Becher’s home were added in September.
Those five matters as well as a charge of common assault and another count of contravening an AVO are next listed in court on April 16.
Huijer has pleaded not guilty to all seven alleged offences.
An AVO application made in August to protect Becher from Huijer – the third such order sought in the past four years – is also listed for April.
Before that appearance, Huijer is due to front court in March after pleading not guilty to dishonestly obtaining financial advantage by deception.
Another set of charges has been set down for a three-hour hearing in October.

Huijer pleaded not guilty on Wednesday to common assault, possessing a prohibited drug and two counts of contravening an AVO in relation to those alleged offences.
Her latest bail conditions require her to live at an address in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, not to go near or contact Becher and not to enter Potts Point.
She must not drink alcohol or take any drugs unless prescribed by a doctor.
Huijer spent a night in custody before she faced Waverley Local Court over the alleged incident at Huijer’s home in August.
She sobbed that day as magistrate Jacqueline Milledge granted her bail, along with delivering a stern warning.
‘You breach any of these conditions, you have any contact with him again, bail will be taken off you,’ Ms Milledge said.
‘This constitutes a very serious breach of the order and it’s an indication that it’s escalating, and you’re becoming more desperate.’
Outside court, Huijer was asked by a Daily Telegraph reporter if she wished to make any comment about the charges.
‘No,’ she said. ‘Do you have a lighter?’

A day before her arrest, Huijer was seen on social media enjoying a meal at Potts Point seafood restaurant Harry’s Singapore Chilli Crab with fellow socialite Imogen Anthony.
Huijer was first made the subject of an AVO to protect Becher in June 2021.
That order, which included a requirement she not approach Becher within 12 hours of drinking alcohol or taking illicit drugs, was put in place for two years.
At the same time she was found guilty of resisting a police officer and sentenced to a 12-month conditional release order without proceeding to conviction.
Another two-year AVO protecting Becher from Huijer was made in March last year.
On that day, an assault charge was withdrawn and Huijer pleaded guilty to contravening an existing AVO. She was not convicted but was sentenced to another 12-month conditional release order.
Huijer, who Johns described as his muse during their time together, was with the singer when he injured his head in a fall outside a Surry Hills cocktail bar in May 2015.
Johns had been drinking with friends at Low 302 on Crown street before he went outside, tripped and hit his head on the concrete.
