Authorities have confirmed the tragic passing of a teenager at a go-karting attraction centre on Friday night.
Staffordshire Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene at TeamSport Go Karting in Burslem at around 8.15pm.
The teenager was found unresponsive by emergency services and later died.
Circumstances surrounding the incident are not clear at present although police have confirmed the death is being treated as ‘not suspicious’.
Officers from the local force remained at the scene along Waterloo Road until the early hours of this morning.
A police spokesman said: ‘We were called to TeamSport Go Karting Stoke following reports of a cardiac arrest.
‘Paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service were already there and found a man in his late teens unresponsive at the scene. Sadly, he was later pronounced dead.
‘The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
‘Our thoughts remain with the man’s family at this difficult time.’
