Everton have been dealt a double injury blow with striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin needing to see a specialist over a hamstring injury that could keep him out for several weeks — and on-loan midfielder Orel Mangala has possibly played his last game for the club.
The Belgian, who is on loan from Lyon, has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament injury after going down in the 1-0 win at Brighton last weekend. It is understood that he is likely to return to the French club though this has not been officially agreed yet.
Calvert-Lewin also went off injured in that game and will likely miss the next few weeks which sees Everton host the final Goodison Park Merseyside Derby as well as the visit of Manchester United. They play relegation rivals Leicester this weekend.
It comes after new boss David Moyes last week revealed Dwight McNeil could need surgery on a knee injury that is worse than first feared. The 25-year-old has not featured for six weeks and was perhaps Everton’s player of the season beforehand.
Loanee striker Armando Broja was also ruled out for more than two months which is a pain for Everton as his parent club Chelsea are digging their heels in over recalling him.
Broja fills one of two permitted domestic loan spots which has made it tricky for Everton to do business this window.

David Moyes is eager to strengthen in attack, especially with Armando Broja also out injured
It is clear that Moyes would like to strengthen in the final days of the January market, though, with his first and second-choice No 9s injured — especially after Calvert-Lewin broke a scoring duck a fortnight ago and seemed to be turning a corner with his form.
Ajax are considering offloading striker Brian Brobbey and may offer him to Everton and other English clubs, according to Dutch sources.
