22 Kids and Counting star Millie Radford and Harley Passmore’s wedding day was filled with emotional turmoil, as revealed recently in Channel 5’s 22 Kids And A Wedding.
The couple faced multiple challenges before making it to the altar, with the most heart-wrenching moment coming when the groom’s mother failed to attend the ceremony.
The wedding, which aired on Sunday night, captured the emotions of 23-year-old Millie and her partner Harley as they prepared to exchange vows and the stresses of their wedding day.
Their special day was marked by storms, missing rings, and family drama that threatened to overshadow their union.
One family member who caused issues between the couple was Harley’s mother, prompting him to open up about his strained relationship with her that stemmed from previous family tragedies.
“As a little kid, I always wanted to be around my mum, I’ve always been a mummy’s boy. Before my sister and my dad passed away, she’d always do stuff, she was a very loving mum,” Harley bravely admitted.

The groom was devastated when his mother didn’t appear at the ceremony.
He said: “I realised my mum wasn’t there when I saw family friends walk in, who she’d actually come with. Before anyone walked down the aisle, I cried that much, it got to me.
“Even though she didn’t come, it’s my special day and obviously it’s Millie’s special day and I don’t want to be sad,” he later added.
Fans of the family who tuned in to watch the couple’s special day were left furious on behalf of Harley and took to their X accounts to slam his mother.

“I felt for the young chap. I wish him all the best with Millie, I feel he may need it #22KIDSANDCOUNTING.”
Someone else added: “#22KIDSANDCOUNTING I feel sorry for him, that his own mum didn’t turn up to his wedding.”
Another expressed: “How very sad your mum didn’t think your big day deserved her to bother to turn up. You did yourself proud young man #22KIDSANDCOUNTING.” (sic)
Elsewhere, the wedding preparations were marred by considerable tension between the bride and groom.
Family matriarch Sue Radford revealed: “There has been quite a bit of bickering about the wedding, I think it’s been quite stressful. Sometimes they do clash a bit.”
“I love Harley, a lot. But he does do my head in most days,” Millie admitted. “Harley wants it the one way and I want it another way.”
“The preparation has been very, very stressful. Me and Millie have been arguing, we’ve been bickering,” Harley confessed.
